My favourite Van Gogh

It’s The Mulberry Tree, painted in 1889, and I’ll tell you where it isn’t: The van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. I know that because I looked high and low only to find out we’d passed it earlier in the Homestead Grand Tour of 2017. It’s on permanent display at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena.
But back on this day in 2022 I looked out our back door and saw this

Which started a tradition.

Okay, it’s not a mulberry, but it makes me smile.

I can see why. So pretty!
When I first saw the van Gogh Mulberry it literally took my breath away. I think it’s the colours. I like my Homestead version, too, even if it is a little tamer
How lovely!
It is very pretty
I love the way on the same day each year the tree is different according to seasonal differences, the weather over the past week etc. Gardeners will talk about good years or poor years especially if they grow tomatoes.
The differences are quite marked, aren’t they!
I like your painstaking recording.
You’re very kind assuming it took any real effort from me. Google prompts me each year and I then open the back door and haphazardly take thf photo 😁
As I don’t store many photos on my Google account, it tends to remind of the same photo all the time.
