Here on the Homestead, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
After today’s sojourn down the beachย to the annual New Brighton Santa Parade
featuring our very own Farm Girl as part of the infamous New Brighton Brownie troop,

That’s her: Santa hat, all in blue, marching in front of her leader
it’s beginning to feel a lot like it, too.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
But before we sprint headlong into Yuletide
we have that last Homestead birthday of the year to celebrate.
Happy birthday and a hearty Ra Whanau ki a Koe to The Bean Counter, from all of us xxx
Bonne Fete a toi…that’s one way of saying it in Canada :). You went down to the beach today (yesterday), I chose to take the bus to work rather than dig my car out of the snow on the driveway this morning. Chickens are the new black – lol – I need a shirt like that ๐
The Goat Herd’s t shirt
…Was a real find. Snow in December just seems a little wrong to me…intellectually I get it but still to me it’s all about watering the garden, avoiding sun burn and long lazy summer holidays.
Happy Birthday to you! Felicitations from the Cashmere Crew. Loving the various versions of festive attire.
Ooh see what I did there – alliteration.
Typical teacher ๐
Loved all the hats. Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2017 and the great trip.
We are very excited about 2017 ๐
Hi, Thumbs up to the ‘Chickens are the new black’ Tshirt. I hope you continue to enjoy wearing bizarre festive season head wear (Are they ears stuck on the sides of the Renovator’s hat?) up to and including The Big Day. Merry Christmas!
That chicken t shirt was a wonderful find๐ yes the hat comes with ears attached.
Wishing the Bean Counter a very happy birthday. Hope you had a great day with the family and imagine that there was a coffee spot included in the festivities. xx
The Bean Counter thanks you ๐
Happy Birthday Bean Counter! I love all your festive headgear. We have had gloomy damp weather for a few days now and am sick of it already. I could do with a little NZ sunshine and warmth if you have any to spare!
Thank you, Clare, on behalf of the Bean Counter. Sorry for the tardy reply – not sure how i overlooked your comment. I will send some sinshine immediately tomake up for it ๐
No need to apologise for tardiness! I have just been trying to catch-up myself as I’ve been mainly off-line for the past four days.
And thanks for the sunshine which arrived today! ๐
You just put that bit about the beach in to annoy us winter troglodytes didn’t you? It worked.
Well, not intentionally but the memory of your tales of summer jaunts and balmy evenings back in July when we were hunkered down in front of the woodburner still burns ๐
Fair enough. ๐
Felicitates voor de bonenteller! And I cannot imagine what’s it like to have Christmas in summer ;o)
๐
We love your Santa lights on the piano. So cute!
Thank you…and as for the photo bombing elf.
