It seems that while we were busy incubating bugs and sifting through fifty plus years of shared lives in preparation for The Elder’s house sale on Thursday, Spring miraculously snuck in.
She’s even prettied up round the rubbish bins and loaded the nectarine tree with promises…

You should decide that the photographer’s appearance in the picture is a, intentionally whimsical comment on how reflective your posts always are.
I shall adopt that ideal immediately. Another example of coming at things from a different angle 😊
Nice to hear from you, hope the sale goes well after all that work.
Thank you; it’s been a bit of a slog but we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.
It still seems to be summer here… indeed the sun is shining today and the garden is full of butterflies and bees.
Long may it last!
I don’t envy you clearing the parental home in preparation for its sale – for some it can be quite an emotional experience, packing up someone’s life.
May the nectarines be abundant.
Nectarines are the one fruit everyone on the Homestead loves so lets hope the little tree delivers; it’s renowned for punching above it’s weight!
I find the decision making tied up in the clearing out very difficult.
I opt for the latter…and Happy Spring to you!! You need it with the clearing out….xo Johanna
The days are definitely getting longer here and whilst I’m not a fan of super hot weather, I’m looking forward to not having to lug the firewood inside each morning.
Clearing houses is a horrible job – especially when the owner is still around but can’t help with the decision making. We had to do that very thing nearly 2 years ago for my mother-in-law. I am glad the days are getting longer for you and Spring has arrived to cheer you all.
It is astounding how many people have been where we are at the moment…and something that has helped us along the way, too because we all get there in the end.
Very true. It is such an emotional time.
