It’s hard to believe that today a week ago we were roving around Rome
…and now we’re home again.
Back to the garden and the animals;
It’s lovely to be back in our own beds and to have our own washing machine (isn’t it strange what you miss), but we’re all feeling a bit flat. I guess it’s only to be expected.
We had an amazing time and learnt lots (about the world and about ourselves) and one of those lessons regarded wifi. It seems it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, it is just as fluky in downtown Paris, London and/or Rome as it is in little old New Brighton. It is for this reason that I have a digital pile of blogs written, awaiting wifi reliable enough to allow me to upload the photos…I mean who wants to read this drivel without some pretty pictures to look at?!
So, over the next wee while I will revisit our great adventure with y’all in mind; a kind of holiday retrospective.
But first, this retelling comes with some apologies.
To all the people we didn’t manage to meet up with, we’re so sorry to have missed you. To all the scenery we slept through; totally our loss.
To the amazing places we neglected to visit; the museums, castles, cathedrals, landmarks that didn’t make our final list; maybe next time.
