With The Resident Engineer setting up shop in the Homestead office, patching, mending and rudimentary garment construction had been relegated to the dining table. Of course, with having to set up and pack away each time there wasn’t a lot of any sort of sewing being done; Im not a great one when it comes to faffing around.
But, hey! The Cousin Lucas Memorial Sleepout is sitting vacant in the paddock, glorious little sun trap that it is.

No setting up and taking down, shelves for all my shamefully hoarded scraps and offcuts and I can leave it as messy as I want.

The neighbours aren’t fussy.

Your own private retreat and sewing room – perfect! I see there are napping facilities at hand.
The temptation to have a little snooze in the sun is great; I’m trying to keep fo focused!
