Things to smile about on the homestead today.

1,  that the little chick guys are still numbering six

2, that I’ve finally made a decision about my farm footwear. I only went and got myself some Red Bands!

3. that a way superior replacement tool for my most loathed job on the homestead was on sale and it may now cease being my most loathed job (yes, I know a good worker doesn’t blame their tools but seriously…)

4. that it’s lamb shank chilli for dinner.

5. that after years of walking past it with nary a glance, the perfectly sited hand-freeing hook had been there all the time

It ain’t a bad life.
