Enthusiasm for Breakfast

It’s no secret I wasn’t that keen to add guinea pigs to the menagerie. They’re just a little too scittle-scattle rodent-like for me. But their delight in the handful of vegetable garden weeds I harvest for them each morning (and there’s a never-ending supply of them as weeding is another thing I’m not keen on) has softened my opinion little.

Like all things on the Homestead, Ed, April and Cindy have a good appetite and the vegetable garden is beginning to look pretty spruce!

    • I tried fashioning a mobile run for them within the vegetable garden but they invariably escaped and ate the wrong stuff. Seems the weeding is a chore that remains with me.

  1. I was going to suggest moveable Dave…there a guy on YouTube who did with a couple hundred guinea pigs…parc carreg I think is the account….he evolved to wire bottoms to the cages.
