It’s no secret I wasn’t that keen to add guinea pigs to the menagerie. They’re just a little too scittle-scattle rodent-like for me. But their delight in the handful of vegetable garden weeds I harvest for them each morning (and there’s a never-ending supply of them as weeding is another thing I’m not keen on) has softened my opinion little.

Like all things on the Homestead, Ed, April and Cindy have a good appetite and the vegetable garden is beginning to look pretty spruce!

What a nice area for them. And all those greens! Perfect.
They have quite the mansion and live pretty high on the (ahem) hog compared to many Guinea Pigs 😊
Could you tie them to a piece of string and let them wander around doing the weeding for you?
I tried fashioning a mobile run for them within the vegetable garden but they invariably escaped and ate the wrong stuff. Seems the weeding is a chore that remains with me.
I was going to suggest moveable Dave…there a guy on YouTube who did with a couple hundred guinea pigs…parc carreg I think is the account….he evolved to wire bottoms to the cages.
Argh, autocorrect…cage, not Dave…
I just assumed a dave was some form of enclosure 😁
Wire cage bottoms would possibly work here …🤔
