Tragedy struck today.
My reserve farm glasses emerged from my pocket minus an arm. This follows a similar incident about a month ago where my farm glasses suffered a crack to their frame. I felt it snap as I wrestled the hay feeder into submission.
I’m not brave enough to use my good glasses on the farm. I probably don’t need to point out that, when it comes to reading specs, I’m a tad clumsy.
Anyway, The Engineer saved the day. Armed with a tube of superglue, shes unstoppable.

Theres a good few miles left in them yet.

Send her up my way. The arm broke off mine a month ago, and I’ve been rocking the “pince nez” look ever since. We do have some super glue…
All it requires, she tells me, is a steady hand… and nerves of steel 😊
😂🤓
Superglue is wonderful, and I have little blobs of it stuck on many surfaces just to remind me of how tenacious it is.
It is way too intense and enthusiastic for me to even consider utilising. As it was, I opened the tube as The Engineer prepped the glasses and managed to glue two of my fingers together. Oil is the antidote, in case you’re ever in the same situation.
Thank you for the tip. It is tricky stuff.
My good reading glasses never leave the house. My out and about reading glasses are inexpensive ones from the pharmacy.
That’s my practise, although they live in my handbag as there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to peruse a menu 😊
