BSP #49 – Hit; Miss; But Get the Job Done

What a difference a day makes

In all the climatic excitement of yesterday, I forgot to document Farm Girl’s final Spirit Week outfit until her return from school

Throwback Thursday/Tuesday and Anything But a Bag. It is a very true depiction of the younger Farm Girl who, it doesn’t seem that long ago, didn’t consider herself fully attired until fairy wings were donned.

It seemed a shame to delay getting out into the garden, but experience has taught me empty tins makes for a pretty dismal homestead. So with Alexa and I yodelling – sometimes in unison,  all the doors open to let in the spring breeze, and the dogs on full alert for any unattended tidbits, that situation has now been rectified.

Quiche, slice and a cake should keep us going for a while

A bone broth is still bubbling away.

In time, it’ll end up in containers in the freezer for quick gravies and the base for stews and casseroles. It’s a process.

But before you start, I’m no domestic goddess.

Here on the Homestead, it’s all about hit, maybe miss, and get the job done…

and then clean up the mess.
