BSP # 32 – Chasing Sheep

It’s that time again; time for sheep drenching and vaxing. A squirt of Matrix for worm control and a mil of 5-in-1; nothing to it.

Or quite a lot to it.

An hour and a half later and all sheep have been captured, dosed, and released. Most lambs have also had a taste of Matrix and the flock is now sulking on the far side of the paddock.

I need a coffee – but first a shower for The Bean Counter.

    • Luckily we had the not unsubstantial help of Farm Girl and The Resident Engineer but it was still a big job. And they’re quite entitled to sulk a bit. They’re a feisty bunch and put up quite the fight.

  1. Dosing a dog is clearly far easier than dosing sheep. Wrap the medication in a favourite treat – job done! Although wrangling is required when putting drops into Chilli’s ears and cleaning them.
