Today was one that we’re all glad to see the end of; the day in which Farm Girl has her last ever (we hope) eye operation. After chore, with The Casa Kimberlains looking after the Homestead and the hounds, we headed into the hospital.

While Farm Girl was in the theatre we did our usual retreat into Hagley Park, next door, to eat our lunch and think positive thoughts.

Then back to study the waiting room artwork and wait for the call. That painting is way too tied up with scary what-ifs and held-breath waiting to have any appeal for me.

The call, when it came, was from the patient herself. She’s a tough, no nonsense lady.

Now we’re back at the City Campus. Let the healing begin.

I hope Farm Girl gets to enjoy the best vision possible in years to come.
Thank you, Margaret. I hope so too.
