Fixing Stuff

Just lately my poor, overworked washing machine has been showing the strain. The last two days I have had to stage an intervention of sorts.

Two days in a row of unloading sodden washing and syphoning it empty

Propping it up on the now close-at-hand length of wood to allow me access to twiddle the little magic wheel thing that unclogs the pump

And all my crossed fingers and muttered incantations came through for me again

Just in time for the rain to start. The washing’s hung inside today but at least the plovers in the back paddock are happy.

Pippin the sheep, not so much.

“Make it stop!” Fix a washing machine a couple of days in a row and they think you can do anything.

  1. Poor Pippin! We have had two or three wonderful days with warmth and sunshine; today we are back to gloom and threatening rain. How clever you are to be able to keep your washing machine going (just!)

  2. You are so handy! As someone who can’t fix much of anything, I admire that quality. Fortunately, I have a handy husband, but that means that weight of household repairs falls on him.
