What we ticked off the list this week;
1. Hung the Tolkien prints above the superseded City Campus sofa, beside the new-to-us coffee table, in our newly created, grandly named Reading Nook. No, we don’t want to hear if they’re not straight.

2. Repotted, planted out and generally bumbled around with the Homestead flora, both indoor and outdoor

3. Mowed – the lawns

and the old arena in the back paddock. We keep telling each other that one day this will be a Homestead asset. Hmmmm.

4. Hugely kicked along the bedheads from doors project.

So, how was your Saturday in the Making?

After early morning watering, I retired to the airconditioned comfort of my home together with Chilli and Belle to spend a quiet day sheltering from the last day of the heat wave when the temperature is only going to be 35 degrees Celsius. All three of us are buckling under the pressure of the extended period of sustained heat with minor ailments manifesting themselves. We wait in eager anticipation for the cool change coming through tonight. Tomorrow will be perfect for repotting, potting up and going to a free outdoor musical performance.
I had no idea it had been so hideously hot. Air conditioning sounds like the perfect way to spend the day. Fingers crossed for a cooler day tomorrow
When it was t drizzling it was pouring, but at least that meant a steady 5 degrees Celsius. Laundry, more laundry, reading, friends over for tea who brought very fancy pastries to share, and some time spent on a jigsaw puzzle. Waiting for a seemingly never coming cold snap to get some grape pruning done. End of the day brings us to the nightly tv whodunnit, currently working our way through Season 11 of Father Brown (I have rules about dark gloomy gory horrific shows, but also draw the line on completely inane. Brokenwood is getting very close to that latter line although we enjoyed the first few seasons.)
Sounds like a very productive day despite the weather and the friends sound like keepers. I agree re Brokenwood – it got a little slapstick. Hopefully they can pull it back because I love the characters.
