A Five Minute Job?

The sheep needed moving; they’d nibbled everything down to nothing and had begun behaving in that feed-time manic, over-enthusiastic way that says they’re feeling the pinch.

Moving sheeo is an easy process; they want to go where you want them to so it’s just a matter of opening the gate. Unfortunately, the goats, the paddock’s last tenants, had not treated the place well; the vegetable garden and dividing chicken coop/pig pen fences in particular. A bit of work was needed prior to move in.

Restapling was called for but we were fresh out of staples. The guys at ITM are always happy to help me get the job done right.

Then there was the customary head scratching over how to insert the staples. Why do they make the lines of staples too long for the stapler…and why do I always initially forget?

Once I’d sorted the equipment out, the vegetable garden fence was a quick fix. The pig/chicken one less so. I needed an extra pair of hands when there were no others available. A work-around was devised.

Like all work-rounds it took a lot of huffing-and-puffing but I was still able to waddle to the gate…
