A town day for me today.
I scuttled around negotiating scary traffic in the torrential rain while ticking chores off my list; a bit of shopping, a bit of research, and dropping Nana’s old pinking shears at the scissor sharpener. I’m a bit excited about the world these will open to me. All done and dusted by 10am, it was back to the City Campus and coffee.
I’d brought along a jar of my recently concocted furniture cream and was embarrassingly keen to spend the remainder of the morning buffing and polishing. The place is now shimmery shiny and gloriously lavender scented.

The weather,if anything, got worse as the day wore on, perfectly suiting my plan for the afternoon

Namely: to stretch out on the new sofa, passing the afternoon sorting and planning, making phone calls and answering emails, organising, actioning and putting things straight

The perfect catch-up day.

What a finish on that table! Getting your pinking shears sharpened seems exciting.
I understand sharp pinking shears really only appeal to that select group on the folk who have spent time in the company of dull ones
