The Homestead is celebrating two winners today.
The Farmer for, much to the interest of the Homestead Oval’s neighbours

trouncing us all in the annual Union Homestead Post Hay Test on a wicket lovingly prepared by him

and Farm Girl, who can not only back a hay laden ute in the company of two unruly, opinionated passengers,

she’s now able to do it as someone with NCEA Level Three and University Entrance. Results were announced today.

Personally, I would have liked to have connected bat and ball a few more times during last night’s match and for my very few waddles between the stumps to not be affecting my gait so markedly today but, all things considered, to spend my days in the company of such talent and brilliance, I’m feeling like a winner myself.

Congratulations all round! A friend’s son just got his NCEA L3 results today too and was happy.
So proud of her and her relief is palpable
Yep, it’s important to acknowledge the wins in life.
The world can be pretty glum otherwise
At first, I had no idea what you were writing about. 😉 Congrats, congrats, Farm Girl!
Pleased to keep you guessing, Laurie 😁 Thank you, from Farm Girl
Congrats to all! Well done to your clever girl!
Thank you, on her behalf. Now let the fun begin 😊
Congratulations to both the winners, though you have to cast a sideways look at a cricketer who wins a match on a ground that he has prepared himself.
I’m glad that you were able to take part. That sounds like good progress.
Let’s just say it had dodgy bounce 😁 and, yes, my leg is much better. My only real problem now is getting up off the floor. I try to avoid putting myself into that situation.
