Slowly, we’re getting things back to what we laughingly call normal. Today, we stopped on our way back from feeding the sheep and goats to tidy up a bit.


Twenty-ish Cabbage Tree (Cordyline australis) leaves in a bunch, bent double, and tied; we call them Firestarters.



One in the wood burner will light even the most stubborn fire come wintertime.

Tidying up and putting away. Stockpiling warmth for the winter.
