Fledgling broad beans spotted!

The first pick always goes to The Queen of Melton (West), mother of The Princess, in honour of her birthday in early November. This year I was worried we would be tendering a belated gift – but no!
In slightly lesser garden news (but still pretty exciting):

The larger of the peony buds, picked during one of Tuesday’s sleet showers, has lived up to its promise.
Hallelujah!

That’s a very bold shade of red!
I’m very happy with it!
Hoorah!
Your photo of the peony buds inspired me 😊
🙂
Beans make a most acceptable gift
For people of taste!
My two broad bean plants have been picked clean of their bounty. The first flush have been shared or eaten whilst the second and final picking are in the fridge. I like my broad beans young and tender.
Me, too. With butter and parsley – yum!!
