Seems it’s my turn for the cold that’s been doing the rounds; both mine and The Farmer’s a quick call to Casa Kimberley has confirmed

Theres nothing for it but to spend the day inside, drinking lots of water and doing very little. For me that means tutūing (I use this in the colloquial Maori sense ie: tutū – someone who is mischievous, fidgety, someone who “tinkers” or “fiddles”) with my family tree research. A silver lining to feeling so grotty.

If you’re feeling a bit lacklustre like me, I send you happy, get well soon thoughts – and a selection of photos from the garden I was trying to build a post around (seems a pity to waste them).

Take the day off! Do only stuff you want to!

Tomorrow’s another day.

You might be feeling off, but those pictures are so pretty. Have fun with the family tree. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks, Laurie, for both your get well wishes and being so kind about my mediocre photographs
The garden pictures are very cheering to me as I sit grumpily about after another grey and chilly day here.
Im glad they helped lift your spirits 😁
Love the photographs of the blossom and the snow ball tree.
Each year, as I uncover more plantings, I feel grateful to those wonderful folk who set up this garden.
