It doesn’t seem too long ago that Farm Girl was jumping back into formal schooling, with uniform donned and backpack laden (14kg at last weigh-in).
Now shes preparing for that next leap. Visits have been made, options weighed, and aspirations ascertained: it’s going to be Civil Engineering and shes studying at the University of Canterbury.Β
We are so very proud.
Today the two of us met with the Student Accessibility Advisor working out levelling the playing field with regards to her visual impairment. It was all very reassuring.
Then we ambled back to the car through the gorgeous grounds…

dreaming big dreams.

Oh this is such fantastic news! What a clever girl! New chapter….
Very proud of her – and, just quietly, so pleased she’s chosen Canterbury over Otago π
Much closer to home!
Yes, such fantastic news! Keep dreaming those big dreams, Farm Girl!
Those intervening years went so fast, though π
They race by, don’t they? Bittersweet.
Great news. I hope that all the dreams are realised . . . and more too.
She dreams big but then she puts in the graft too and doesn’t seem scared to change focus so I think shes got things sorted. I am in awe as Im still flailing around in the shallow end π
Putting the graft in and being prepared to change course are two wonderful qualities to have.
Gorgeous spring blossoms – yay! Castlemaine and district is currently bedecked in pink and white. Winter was so cold this year the flowering has been delayed including the wattles and wild flowers. Good luck to Farm Girl with her engineering studies with the encouragement of the other engineer in the family.
Yes. Spring has definitely sprung…hooray! Ill pass your best wishes on π
