Part of the odd place we find ourselves in at the moment has to do with some big changes. Over the weekend we set about capturing a memento: a seemingly simple image that for us will forever resonate with equal portions of excitement and terror.

Farm Girl is now a week into her Engineering degree and is starting to figure out where everything is and how it all works.
The Engineer is finishing up in her current work role for…well, that’s all under wraps at the moment but will be disclosed in the near future.
Such clever, funny, brave women: here on the Homestead we’re so very proud of them both.

Will be waiting anxiously to hear the news.
Hopefully we don’t keep you waiting too long.
This is life, isn’t it? Endings and beginnings together like this happen all the time that we don’t really notice, and then, bam! A big one comes along and we are knocked back by it. I think it’s lovely for both of them that their particular endings and beginnings have coincided…
You are so right and, in time, where we are now will be one of those bookmarks in time. A reference point. “Was that before or after…?”
Life goes on relentlessly, sometimes well and sometimes badly. I hope that you are riding the waves successfully.
We’re still standing even though the surf can be pretty knarly at times
Best wishes to Farm Girl and the Engineer in their new beginnings.
The only constant is change.
So true, and with that in mind you’d think we’d get used to it 🙃
