It’s a town day for me today.
The menagerie is always exceedingly well behave and super-excited on the days I head down State Highway 73. As I catch a ride into the big smoke when The Bean Counter heads into work, they end up with an early breakfast. Things are seldom so rosy at the other end of the day when dinner is served late but such is life and they are a forgiving bunch.

Today, as I jog-trotted through my morning chores, a flash of red caught my eye

Yay for the glasshouse! The first properly red pepper of the season, well worthy of a little glow of happy.
I look forward to town days. All that ducking and diving around the shops, picking up and dropping off, and hanging out at the City Campus tidying, checking on the neighbour’s building progression,

or catching up on bookwork is like a To Do List blitz. Ticking stuff off the list is a sure-fire glow generator.
But, nothing beats the feeling, despite the squillion half done/undone/not done/ jobs awaiting,

of turning into the Homestead driveway.

Oh that little pop of red!
So exciting! The glasshouse has made such a difference.
I expect owning two places must take a lot of energy. Lovely to be able to return to the Homestead after a busy day.
There’s no place like home 😊
My feelings exactly! Home is best.
Altogether now: “There’s no place like home”.
