There are those people that embrace the sandal as a wardrobe item and others who…well…don’t. As a family, we tend to fall into the Not for Us category, our entrenched footwear choices being workshoes/boots, “good” shoes (usually a tidy pair in the sporty genre), Crocs, or bare feet.
We’re uncomplicated folk.
But in 25 days we’re heading somewhere our current boot belief/Croc conviction/footwear faith does not accommodate. Never say we are not open to change.

Actually, these sandal things are pretty great; cool, comfortable and something for everyone. But on one thing we stand firm…for now;

Never with socks!

I have never been able to come to terms with sandals. I admire your bravery.
Were nothing if not open minded 😁
I gave up wearing sandals when I moved to Castlemaine more than 12 years ago. Castlemaine is dusty in summer and abounds with sticks and pebbles which are only too happy to jam themselves under bare toes. And walking in the bush in sandals is just plain silly.
However, Singapore will be the perfect place for sandal wearing.
That’s what we felt but, for some, it took a lot of convincing.
