I don’t know if the Weather guru’s data would back me up, but my research shows we had a cold winter.

That awesome goat winter double-coat trick – fluffy close to the skin with rain wicking hair on top – really kicked into overdrive this year. In fact, one of our number is having a bit of trouble getting herself summer ready. While siblings,Β Meredith and Kristina, are back to sleek and neat, feisty Amelia, the last born, littlest of Sandra’s triplets, isn’t one to take the easy road. No adult intervention for her!

I was reduced to swiping at her with the brush while her head was busy with other things. Just to help out a bit.

What’s not to like about a hairy goat.

Isn’t she lovely?! I do like a goat, hairy or not.
Amelia is lovely – even when judged against other goats π Just the right mix of sass, independence and cuteness
So cute! And it looks as though your brushing helped a lot with the excess hair.
But was she thankful? Although she was obviously more comfortable there was no way she was going to stand still and let me brush her. Shes an independent lady!

Amelia doesn’t look fussed by her shaggier appearance. Your guerrilla brushing is having some beneficial result.
Helping her get rid of it does ease up the wear and tear on the fences
