Another town day today; up early, a gallop around the paddocks to feed out and count off, and down State Highway 73 I headed.
Chaos surrounded the City Campus as they get ready to hook up the electricity next door, scheduled for tomorrow. I ended up parking a block away and had to be escorted through the construction site that includes our driveway.

That Andrew the Plasterer didn’t just give up and keep driving past is still a thing of wonder to me. But my real reason for venturing to the city today was for something way more exciting. Today was my quarterly lunch catch up with The Cat Burglar.
No, no photos…even though we spoke of this blog I didn’t think to take one. But fear not; I’ll paint you a picture. Two…um…mature ladies unashamedly ordering a side of fries with their meals, talking possibly just a little too loudly about anything and everything but in all probability forgetting why they initially started the story. We’re now caught up: family happenings, work and homestead, “did you see” and babies born – none of them directly linked to us. The world’s state of health has been pondered, worried and shrugged off; some of it has been shrieked over.
I’ve known this lady a long time; today we decided we’ve still got a good many years of lunching to come. Which is good because, despite what it may look or sound like ladies lunching gets things sorted.

Rising above the cares of the world is the way to go, and a good lunch with a friend is the way to do it.
As usual, we are definitely on the same page π
A delightful outing! Keep on lunching.
Its best for all that we do π
